About Our Organization
We have been chasing one ambitious goal since From Rags To Decency, Inc. was founded in 2021: ending the children homelessness crisis in Africa. And while that social problem is huge, we’re optimistic. We know how to solve the problem, and we make progress every day thanks to the help of local partners and generous supporters. Working together, we believe millions of kids will have access to life’s most basic needs within our lifetime. They will be delivered from the harsh reality of having no parents and being forced to live on the dangerous streets of Africa with no chances of making it in life!

How Your Giving Impacts The Children?
When you make a charitable donation to From Rags To Decency, Inc., you help make sure children in poverty receive the critical help they need. Your tax-deductible donation is used to meet needs that otherwise may not be met. Your donation to this top priority world crisis gives a child the chance to escape homelessness and poverty.
Whether you donate to disaster relief and stability, income generation, infrastructure development, or other critical intervention programs, your donation will be used to radically change the life of a child in poverty for good.
With the help of local churches and partners, here are the activities that impact the lost children:
Construct Boarding School & Classrooms
We plan to construct a campus with a boarding school with dormitories, infirmary, classrooms and living quarters for workers and volunteers as needed.
CONSTRUCT COMMUNITY KITCHEN & CAFETERIA
Our goal is for the facility to provide 3 meals a day to the all the children, workers and our volunteers.
construct warehouses & spaces
An important aspect of what we plan to do is to educate the children and provide them with skills and trades to prepare them for the future.
construct library / computer lab
As additional resources to the courses taught at the school, research and training.
construct gymnasium
A Multipurpose facility which can also be used for church services on Sundays.

Why We Do What We Do!
Child Labor
One in five children is employed against their will in quarries, farms and mines. Sub-Saharan Africa employs 59 million children between the ages of 5 and 17, according to the ILO
Hazardous Work
In Africa, 31.4 million children are in hazardous work including forced labor, prostitution and working in mines.
The mineral called the Coltan is considered a humanitarian crisis .Over five million kids died ( in the last 10 years )while mining this precious mineral mainly found in RDC central Africa . This is more death than all world wars combined .
Homelessness
30 million Kids are homeless in Africa due to abandonment , wars or extreme poverty . Some have lost both parents and are facing the harsh reality of orphan living.
Child Laborers Under 5-Years-Old
Child laborers under the age of 5 have also grown in number and they face hazardous work conditions as well. For example, they might spend the day doing hard manual labor such as swinging machetes, carrying heavy loads and spraying pesticides.
